Union Cemetery Rules and Regulations
Floral decorations placed on the ground are allowed 10 days before and 10 days after Memerial Day.
Floral decorations may remain on a gravesite for 10 days before and 10 days after burial.
All permanent vases, stakes, and other markers must be placed in the headstone row on or adjacent to the concrete.
One may display potted flowers on the headstone concrete if it does not impede lawn maintenance. This must be clarified with the City of Pomeroy and the groundskeeper.
Decorations may be on a grave for lengths of time other than that listed above Only if someone attends the gravesite appropriately.
Glass containers and permanent plantings are not allowed on the cemetery grounds.
If decorations blow onto the grounds or if decorations are inappropriately displayed, the groundskeeper may discard them.
Grave markers may be set only with permission from the City of Pomeroy.
The cemetery staff will perform all ground maintenance unless otherwise designated by the City of Pomeroy.
These rules will help keep the Cemetery clean and respectable.
